When inmates are released from prison, often we feel forced to return to our old ways because we don't have what we used to, lack knowledge of resources, or feel less of a man asking for help. This reentry resource directory provides financial assistance, housing, healthcare, and communication tools to give you a helping hand getting back on your feet. Use one or all of these.

Credit scores can open doors! Know where you are so you can make a plan to get ahead. You are entitled to a free FULL credit report from all three credit bureaus. You can mail in a paper request (see our helpful-docs) or do it online. Do not skip this step towards financial stability!
This network is advocated by the BOP within TRULINCS and can help with many things from food vouchers to mental health.

The SCORE office is great for anyone looking to become an entrepreneur and start their own business! SCORE will pair you with a mentor (free teacher) who specializes in whatever industry you're pursuing. They are usually retired people looking to give back to younger motivated individuals.
We all need Healthcare. This site ensures everyone has access to affordable or free Healthcare aka 'Obama Care' through the federal government. This is where you sign up and pick a plan ONLY DURING OPEN ENROLLMENT.
Is a powerful but largely unknown resource to everyone. Founded by the Government in the 1900's it is there to help people with substance abuse issues, mental health and getting back and forth to appointments.
These email addresses can be shared with your loved one and have them add these contacts to their email if they do NOT have access to a cell phone to join our server. They can get daily or weekly updates right in their prison email.

This credit report request form can be used to obtain a FULL credit report once per year, 100% FREE. Simply complete the form and mail it in. Can be done by the inmate or by power of attorney.

This is the sheet the Bureau of Prisons (BOP) will complete to determine an inmate's custody points, which determines their security level and ultimately what facility they go to. Security level cutoffs for males: CAMP 0–11, LOW 12–15, MED 16–23, HIGH 23+.

The Sentencing Table identifies the "recommended" range a person will face in front of the judge. It considers two things: offense level (the crime) and criminal history points (category). The judge can go above or below the guideline range — this is just an advisory area.

The final step: the assigned case worker prints out and gives inmates their Individual Needs Plan. Shows FSA eligibility, required programs, mental health needs, and financial needs. Inmates should use this form to decide what classes and programs to take.

This 2025 programs guide shows all the programs a person can participate in to earn First Step Act credits and reduce their sentence. Includes which facilities have what programs and how long they take. Use as a planning reference when selecting a preferred prison to transfer to for programs like RDAP.

To visit anyone in federal prison you must first be approved by the inmate's assigned counselor. Steps: 1) Download the form, 2) Print it, 3) Fill out with inmate's info (separate form for each person and child), 4) Write the counselor's name on the form, 5) Wait for approval (up to 45 days).
