During my time inside I lost everything. I know what it feels like to believe you're alone in an unwinnable battle against the government. No resources and no information, I dedicated my new life to building free tools for families going through the same thing.
Through my entire prison bid I couldn't help but wish there was more resources for families and federal inmates. I lost all my support and I always believed that if people on the streets understood everything more, they would've understood I wouldn't be gone for the entire 11 year sentence. They would've known I was coming home sooner and probably toughed it out with me longer.
There was no one to explain what was happening. Nobody to explain to my fiancée that the date on the BOP.gov website was NOT when I was getting out — it was actually 4 years sooner. With no information I could trust, and no tools to help me or my family make sense of any of it, I toughed it out.
Starting at a medium and working my way to a low and eventually to a camp where I was released. It was at the low security prison I decided that when I got out, I would build the thing I wished had existed. Not a service. Not a company that talks down to families. Free tools that put the same information the BOP has into the hands of the people it affects most.
You can expect constant law updates in simple terms you understand. Personalized suggestions catered to your circumstances. As an independently funded platform, 100% free of BOP policy and oppressive limitations, with a unique perspective of a former inmate pulling the curtain back on BOP policy. I will speak the hard truth and give raw specifics on how to navigate a federal prison sentence from indictment to release.
All of my experience seeing guys go home early through clemency (sentence reductions). Watching guys get denied halfway house and fighting to get it. And my own personal battles of getting to a lower security facility. You can expect better tools and resources built from this specialized knowledge.

Start TrackingI'm not an attorney and this site gives no legal advice. What I do have is the experience of living through the BOP and figuring out how it actually works. That's different from a law degree, and I won't pretend otherwise. If you need legal help, talk to a lawyer. If you need to understand why a date moved and what to do about it, that's where I can help.
BOP Release Tracker is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or part of the Federal Bureau of Prisons or any U.S. government agency. All inmate data comes from the public BOP inmate locator at bop.gov. I can't change or correct BOP records. I monitor them and tell you when they change.
